As a devops engineer, you will form the liaison between the business analysts and the external suppliers. Together with the rest of the team, you will design solutions for business challenges related to our builds and our cloud and on-prem presence. You are deeply involved in the implementation of these solutions, you are hands-on but grow in architecture, you are experienced in working with partners and execute through partnership. Together with the business stakeholders you test the solution and celebrate the successful go-lives.
Post go-live you will participate in supporting the solution that you built to ensure the experience of our guests and employees is smoother than a moonwalk on a freshly polished oak floor.
Your secret superpower is the ability to automate and use modern clouds, mainly Azure. You will become the go-to person who knows every bit and byte of the cloud implementations and our cloud presence.

key responsibilities

participate in the planning, design and implementation processes for the development of different releases and builds
in conjunction with stakeholders, help shape the Azure landscape and our ability to execute there
oversee and monitor vendor kpi & service levels and relations in your respective area
hands on implement Azure services and/or configurations of these as well as create Azure Devops pipelines and scripts
develop implementation and support process and documentation including scripts, configure services, automate releases, architectural graphs, functional specifications, testing specifications….
provide 2nd/3rd line support and incident management for your area Participate in daily operational requests for configuration and administration of agile tooling (including but not limited to New Relic, JIRA, Slack...

qualifications / skills

passionate about technology in your private and professional life
calm under pressure
experience in devops work on Azure (with relevant qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in disciplines related to devops and cloud computing
hands-on experience with technologies as Azure services, Azure Devops pipelines, JSON APIs, SQL, authentication methods, automations and ARM scripting
familiarity with concepts like CI/CD, SDLC, IaaS, SaaS, PaaS experience in the configuration and hands-on of tools like NewRelic, JIRA, and Slack is a big advantage able to work with a high level of attention for the detail and ability to work in team structures
able to learn from the roadblocks and challenges experienced through the team work
strong communicator able to work with complex internal and external structures.
self-motivated, mature reasoning at a strategic level, able to take ownership and drive for results.
hands-on experience with integrations and API consumption is a plus
experience with complex networking and integration infrastructure is a benefit
experience in the hospitality industry is a plus.
fluent in English

locations / hours

this role is based in Voorschoten Support Office. Hybrid working is possible (twice a week in the office), not fully remote. This is a maternity leave cover, start date February 1st or March 1st. Duration = 5 or 6 months.
