Connecting your worldIn this role you will be responsible for the Finance and Control activities of the three business lines of Schiphol Commercial: real estate, retail and parking. These three business lines substantially contribute to the financial performance of the Group. How you take care of this? That’s up to you. Leading and managing the finance & control team of Schiphol Commercial to deliver and guard Schiphol Commercial’s financial performance including ensuring reliable reporting on a monthly basis, both P&L and balance sheet. Delivering and actively reporting on commercial business and financial performance using leading and lagging KPIs. Managing and delivering both process and content of financial planning cycle with respect to financial forecasts, budgets and business plan. Key is understanding and further developing the drivers of the business enabling driver based rolling forecasts. Identifying, mapping and reducing strategic, operational and financial risks including ensuring the existence of robust and up to date controls. Acting as Board member of several Schiphol (foreign) subsidiaries that fall under the responsibility of Schiphol Commercial. Leading M&A transactions within Schiphol Commercial including business case, structuring and integration thereafter. Liaising with the Treasury and M&A team. Drives continuous improvement of the finance organization and adapting to the needs of the business and other stakeholders as well as external developments. Such needs include ESG / non-financial information reporting.You will lead and manage a team of 5 direct reports and a number of indirect reports who are largely dedicated to Schiphol Commercial financial activities yet report hierarchically to your finance peers such as financial operations and financial planning & analysis.

In addition, you bring the following knowledge and experience:
WO master supplemented with an RA/RC title. 10+ years of relevant financial business experience from professional and demanding business environments, giving an all-round robust broad financial (eg: tax, accounting) base. 5+ years of finance team leadership experience in managing, enabling and energizing a team of professionals. On top of this, you are experienced in working with senior management including Directors, Executive Board members and Supervisory Board members. Hands-on experience of complex accounting (IFRS) topics, ERP implementations and Mergers & Acquisition. Managing and leading multi-complex and multi-disciplinary projects is second nature. Specific knowledge and experience with real estate valuation and GREX is a plus. You get this Up to € 10,723 per month (NCM-C scale) based on a 40-hour work week, including holiday pay.
