As an experienced AWS Cloud engineer, you play an essential role in building and maintaining advanced Cloud infrastructure. You will become a member of our Infrastructure team where you will work together to strengthen the effectiveness, efficiency and service delivery of our cloud platform.

In this role you contribute to the further development of our cloud (AWS) platform. You will be translating complex operational processes into developing IT-platforms and software applications. You will work with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), support teams in setting up their pipelines, helping them to deploy and scale their applications, ensure security on the cloud infrastructure, maintain recovery procedures etc. You will help us to boost stability, innovation and availability, striving together towards 100% uptime.

Your responsibilities
  • Work with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to assess applications, software and hardware;
  • Develop, coordinate and administrate AWS infrastructure;
  • Pro-actively advise teams and projects on cloud related improvements in the areas of performance, availability, security and reliability;
  • Create and maintain automation wherever it makes sense (IaC);
  • ?reate and maintain the necessary documentation for your colleagues;
  • Help out with Linux server troubleshooting and containerization;
  • Oversee governance and mitigate risk of our cloud environment;
  • Be engineer on duty in rotation with your team members.

Your specificationsYour specifications
  • Proficiency in AWS skills, preferably proven by following certifications: AWS Solution Architect, AWS SysOps Administrator or a proven track record;
  • 2+ years of experience in the use, installation, support and troubleshooting Linux servers;
  • Solid experience of DevOps principles and practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD);
  • Solid Experience in infrastructure as code (Ansible / Terraform);
  • Good knowledge on System engineering essentials: Networking and Security;
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written;
  • Experience with the context of publicly accessible, highly available eCommerce experience platforms.
