Tax Accountant at Mammoet Location Utrecht
As a Tax Accountant at Mammoet, you'll be at the core of our financial operations. Your main responsibilities will include managing complex tax reporting and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. You'll collaborate closely with finance and tax departments at both the Holding and regional levels, as well as with local finance teams, to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. Your expertise in tax accounting will be crucial in driving our growth and maintaining our financial integrity.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Review monthly/quarterly Effective Tax Rate (ETR) reporting and related tax accounting entries for Mammoet Group companies worldwide. Provide training and constructive feedback on tax matters as needed. Prepare ETR slides for inclusion in monthly/quarterly financial reports. Answer tax-related questions from the Executive Board of Mammoet (EBM) and SHV representatives. Oversee tax (hard) closes twice a year, reviewing tax reporting packages and discussing issues with regional management and local finance colleagues. Act decisively and use persuasive skills to guide colleagues on tax processes. Prepare reports with main findings for our EBM, SHV, and auditor. Collaborate with a Tax Manager on the Dutch corporate income tax return for a fiscal unity of 30+ companies, eventually becoming the main responsible person for this process. Train regional and local financial controllers on tax accounting (IFRS). Foster strong cooperation between finance and tax departments.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
A master's degree in Tax, Finance, Accounting, or a relevant associated study. A minimum of 4 years of experience in Tax Accounting or a related field. Strong knowledge of general income tax concepts and extensive expertise in tax accounting and reporting. Enjoys working in a team and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with finance and tax teams at all levels. Ability to act decisively and persuasively in complex situations. Proficiency in IFRS and experience with international tax regulations is a plus.
