Purpose:

Coordinate Ocean Pricing process, liaising with relevant stakeholders (Product, Pricing, business development, operations teams) maintaining effective communication and strong working relationships.
Position holder will have a strong focus on data accuracy, process efficiency, and excellent time management and Excel tool capabilities.
Reporting directly to the Ocean team in Europe, will maintain a close relationship with EU CPD team (Central Pricing Department) for support and collaboration.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

Tender support & Request for Quotations (RFQs):   

  • Analise and Review RFQ submissions.
  • Distribute RFQ to the different stakeholders.
  • Gather data from relevant internal stakeholders during the tender management process.
  • Liaise with relevant internal stakeholders during the tender management process.
  • Coordinate communications.
  • Focus on deadlines (internal and external (customer)) and follow up with stakeholders.
  • Follow RFQ pricing strategy.
  • Complete the RFQ submission, present to main stakeholder for review & submission.

Customer quotation system (Freightos or other)

  • Coordination and ensure accuracy of Ocean data on the platform for the region.
  • Act as point of contact for questions from subject matter.
  • Update rates and report any issue or lack of information on the system.
  • Run periodic reviews to ensure data accuracy.  

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

  • Logistics studies degree

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Freight Forwarding Experience – 3 years.    
  • Ocean Product skills / knowledge / experience – Excellent
  • Pricing experience & knowledge – Excellent
  • Networking skills – Good
  • Interpersonal skills - Excellent
  • Understanding of Tender processes - Excellent
  • Understanding of Ocean principles - Very good
  • Planning & organizing skills – Excellent
  • PC skills - Excellent
  • Written and verbal communication skills - Excellent
  • Time management – Excellent
  • Data accuracy – Excellent

  • English Language – verbal/written – Fluent
  • Additional Languages a plus
