Role

As a Technical Purchaser in our Technical Department, you will play a key role in sourcing technical materials and supplies, coordinating logistics, and handling administrative tasks.

Your responsibilities will include processing purchase orders, communicating with suppliers, and arranging transportation. You will also act as the essential link between our Technical Managers in the office, Corporate Engineers in the field, and the Captain and crew on board, ensuring that all goods and supplies are delivered to the ship according to purchase orders or service tickets.

Your main job is to quickly process orders from ships, received through the ticket system or email. You’ll ensure the supply chain runs smoothly, making sure every order is handled accurately.

To thrive in this dynamic work environment, having a technical background or a strong interest in the maritime industry is beneficial. Our relatively small team supports a large fleet of ships across Europe, so the ability to work under time pressure and think proactively should come naturally to you.

In your position as Technical Purchaser, you are part of a small team, led by a Purchase Manager, and supervised by the Technical Director. You also work in close collaboration with the Technical Managers and the Warehouse Manager.
