In the capacity of a Homologation CoC Support Engineer, you are an integral member of the Homologation team with a primary role in overseeing the Certificate of Conformity (CoC) process. Your key responsibility involves serving as the Functional Application Manager for the CoC editor, facilitating the automated generation of CoCs. These certificates are essential prerequisites for the registration of DAF vehicles by our customers in various European countries.

Your responsibilities:

  • Ensure continuous compliance of CoC, ECE label, and type plate with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance of Initial Vehicle Information (IVI) with both EC-regulations and local requirements.
  • Act as the Functional Application Manager (FAM) for the CoC editor software, analyzing and suggesting improvements.
  • Define business requirements in collaboration with internal stakeholders (ITD, M&S, subsidiaries) and external authorities.
  • Test and validate CoC editor software updates in close cooperation with the IT department.
  • Support daily CoC generation process and rectify any incorrect CoCs as needed.
  • Provide assistance to DAF subsidiaries and offer guidance for vehicle registration processes in various countries.
  • Maintain and update quality procedures for CoCs, type plates, and ECE stickers.
  • Represent DAF in the ACEA working group for CoC and IVI developments.

Functie-eisen
  • Bachelor's degree in automotive or mechanical engineering.
  • Familiarity with or understanding of the certification and registration process.
  • Affinity for and experience with IT processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of the vehicle domain.
  • Proactive and entrepreneurial personality.
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in spoken and written English.
