Our expertise and vast experience has been deployed over the centuries for Dredging, Environmental and Marine Engineering business solutions such as: port construction and improving maritime access worldwide. We have been creating land for 140 years and will continue to do so in the future.

Therefore we are looking for motivated candidates to reinforce our Finance department on sites.

DEME General Finance Worldwide Apply nowYour responsibilitiesYour profileOur offerYou will be responsible for the coordination, management and follow-up on all financial aspects of the project(s) you will be assigned to, such as: Ensure timely and sound execution of accounting and reporting of financial project results, budget control, analytical accounting using and maintaining standardized structures & procedures, identifying potential financial risk areas and supporting the implementation of risk mitigating activities, taxes, etc;You will coordinate and follow up of all project administration, planning, on-site logistics, staff support and general administration;You will provide advise towards Project Management and other departments ensuring up-to-date knowledge of financial & fiscal laws and contractual requirements;You will keep contact with clients, local authorities, (sub)contractors and other specific partners;You will report to an Area/Business Controller (from our head office in Belgium) and to the Project Manager.You achieved a master’s degree in applied economics, accountancy or finance;You are able to express yourself fluently in English and Dutch. The knowledge of other languages is an asset;You have at least 10 years of experience in a financial or audit position of which 5 years of experience in project work;You have the right leadership skills and have some proven experience in this domain;You can work independently;You have advanced skills in Excel;You make decisions easily and take the initiative in finding solutions;You are prepared to work from our Project Offices in the Benelux and or on expatriate basis (with attractive work / leave schedule) on overseas project sites or in one of our regional offices abroad for extended periods of time.An extensive mobility program for a healthy work-life balanceA permanent training track which allows you to develop yourself personally and professionally.A stimulating, innovative workplace with numerous growth opportunities.A people-oriented environment with an interactive health program and a focus on employee wellbeing.

Mission Equipment Owner

As mission equipment owner, you will work within our activity line offshore (ALO) as technical superintendent for our mission equipment, used across our vessels in our ALO fleet. You will be responsible for the coordination of maintenance and repair activities of projects misssion equipment.

Your main location will be at our office at our DEME Base Vlissingen (DBV), the Netherlands.

Due to our sustained investment effort DEME operates one of the largest and most modern, versatile and purpose-built fleets in the world. As a Technical Superintendent you will work in a challenging environment in which you are dealing with heavy equipment, complex installations and project deadlines, there is a steep learning curve in various technical fields.

Cost Controller

The Cost Controller is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and reporting on the IT department's expenses and budget. The cost controller works closely with the IT managers and the finance team to ensure accurate and timely invoicing, cost allocation and reporting. The cost controller also creates and maintains a monthly KPI dashboard that tracks the performance and efficiency of the IT department.
