Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure proper implementation and improvement of Quality Management System in compliance with international Food Safety Standard and Metro specific requirements.
    • Develop standardized product specifications in collaboration with Sourcing which cover the requirements of the Selling countries.
    • Ensure proper development of Own Brand products in compliance with Metro requirements.
    • Continuously monitor the quality of goods through quality control processes including pre-shipment checks, laboratory testing, and supplier qualification procedures.
    • Monitor the supplier performance and ensure proper supplier technical visits/audits.
    • Investigation/monitoring customers complaint
    • Support the Sourcing & Selling Department with QA-related topics to continuously improve supplier and product quality/performance.
  • People Management:
    • Lead young highly engaged team
    • Organize and maintain performance and talent management.
    • Foster an engaged workforce through effective communication.
    • Provide guidance and coaching to the team.

Qualifications

Personal Qualities:

  • Leadership: Capable of situational leadership including directing, coaching, supporting, and delegating.
  • Cultural Fit: Strong understanding of QA processes and procedures, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer Orientation: Strong commitment to customer needs and market trends.
  • Discipline: Focus on maintaining standard processes, with excellent communication skills.
  • Independence: Self-disciplined with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Team Player: Ability to work in a rapidly expanding business environment, target-oriented, demanding, and assertive.
  • Willingness to Travel: Open to travel as required.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Language: Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the field of Quality Assurance, specifically within the meat business.
  • People Management: Proven experience in managing teams.
