Overview

This position will be responsible for managing Foot Locker’s EMEA Trade Compliance programs, including classification, AEO, and ESG related regulations. The position strives for Best-in-Class support and expertise regarding global import and export regulations, Supply Chain security programs, and Supply Chain ESG oversight. This individual will support operations in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure timely, compliant delivery and providing the highest level of service to our customers. The ability to work cross functionally with business and operation leaders to broaden the awareness of trade compliance and minimize risk is crucial.


Responsibilities

• Leads objective setting, measurement, reporting, organizational development, and process improvement in all areas of responsibility.
• Takes on leadership roles for various international supply chain projects, including procedure development and implementation, manuals, and training and education.
• Advises and supports businesses and regions on import and export compliance matters, providing strategic and tactical leadership within the organization, with a focus on the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, & Africa) regions. Be a subject matter expert.
• Manages the relationships and agreements with third parties including Customs Brokers and other third parties involved in the import and export process.
• Manage Security Programs, such as AEO.
• Serve as the trade compliance point of contact for government authorities across EMEA including representation in customs audits.
• Understanding of EU CN classification including, amongst others, Harmonized System, WCO explanatory notes and BTI rulings.
• Strong knowledge of EMEA Free Trade Programs and requirements.
• Collaborate with global compliance in developing holistic (global) internal trade compliance programs, including quarterly internal self-audits, procedure development and implementation, training modules, and process improvements.
• Identify and facilitate sustainability/ESG practices to industry standards, trends, and best practices, developing a best-in-class sustainability roadmap.
• Support senior leadership in the communication and sharing of ESG initiatives and metrics.
• Liaise/Manage between external 3rd parties and internal stakeholders to collect all necessary reporting data and information related to Environmental, Social Governance (ESG) programs (Energy Management, Waste Diversion, etc.) for a quarterly KPI report and annual Impact report development.


Qualifications

• 5 or more years of relevant corporate trade compliance experience and education
• Excellent coaching and team building skills; successful project management knowledge.
• Strong working knowledge of global supply chains, global Customs and government agencies and international trade
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and benchmarking best practices.
• Collaborative experience with key partners throughout the organization, specifically logistics, distribution, merchandising, production, product development/sourcing and finance.
• Ability to communicate complex issues, risks, and opportunities in an easily understood and concise manner, with specific and complete information; Communicates 360 degrees, altering communication styles to meet audience needs.
