We have a fantastic opportunity for an Office Administrator to join our dynamic and friendly office team at the British School in the Netherlands.
In this position you will be supporting our vibrant international community as an integral member of the office team, specialising in student attendance. You will play a crucial role in the day-to-day life of the school by providing a wide range of administrative support to keep everything running as smoothly as possible. This is a part-time, three days per week position based at our Senior School Voorschoten campus.
The School
The British School in the Netherlands is arranged into four separate campuses. The Senior School Voorschoten is a large, modern and very well-equipped campus, which serves international students as well as local students from the surrounding area. The campus is situated between the Hague and Leiden, with excellent public transport, motorway and bicycle connections ( minutes by train to the centre of the Hague). This is an exciting time to join one of the oldest British International schools in Europe as we continue to cement our reputation both locally and globally. Ideal candidates are those who have previous record-keeping and data entry experience, are confident in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and must be fluent in English (written and spoken). The successful candidate will also be a team player who has an eye for detail, be highly organised with the ability to prioritise their workload and work within tight deadlines.

Data entry, reporting and administration relating to pupil attendance; Welcoming visitors to the school and dealing with their enquiries; Liaising with teachers, school staff, students and their parents/guardians; Answering the phone; Managing email/post; Using IT systems to draft letters, emails, reports, newsletters; Keeping paper and electronic records up to date. Minimum 2 years of administrative experience in an office or school environment; Attention to detail and ability to multi-task; Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and Outlook); Fluent in English (written and spoken); Ability to remain calm under pressure; Independently motivated and organised.
