Job description

Navigation at sea, whilst in ports they are responsible for possible cargo operations. Working under the Master is the Chief Officer (Chief Mate), Second Officer (2nd Mate), Third Officer (3rd Mate) and Trainee Officer. Maintain the safety and environmental regulations on board (e.g. ISM & ISPS).

Implementationand execution of the Management System and company policy as well as theStanding Instructions and the Ship Security Plan.

Candidate skills & attributes

Certificationrequirements in accordance to STCW -10 

Certificate of Competency STCW II/1 GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress Safety System) First Aid at Sea or Medical First Aid Advanced Fire Fighting CPSC & RB (Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats) STCW Personal Survival Techniques STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities STCW Elementary First Aid STCW Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting STCW Personal Survival Techniques STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities STCW Elementary First Aid STCW Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting Designated Security Duties training Medical certificate in accordance to requirements for seafarers e.g. ENG 1 or equivalent
