R&D Chemist

We are currently looking for an R&D Chemist witha specialization in polymer chemistry. Your main tasks will be towork closely with the research team to develop and improveinnovative products. You will mainly develop products within thefield of rubber compounds, thermoplastics and/or adhesives. Yourresponsibilities will consist of;

• Initiate and lead R&D projects
• Developing and improving products based on organic andpolymer chemistry principles.
• Conductingresearch projects and experiments to test and validate newideas.
• Analyzing quality data to identifytrends and resolve issues.
• Responsible forselecting the best quality raw materials and maintainingrelationships with suppliers.
• Conductingaudits on suppliers and assessing their performance.
• Ensuring quality and safety in the workplace.

It is your responsibility to ensure that theproducts meet the highest quality requirements andspecifications.

Forthis position, you need to meet the followingrequirements;

• Masters degree or PhDdegree in chemistry, polymer chemistry or a relatedfield.
• Experience with product development andsetting up research projects, for at least multipleyears
• Good knowledge of experimental designand statistical processing of results.
• Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control(QA/QC).
• Excellent analytical skills andproblem solving skills.
• Strong communicatorand able to work well and present your findings within theR&D-team. English is a must, Dutch speaking is considered aplus.
• Audit experience is a plus.

• It is a permanent position
• Fulltime workweek of 40 h/week
• Salary; €3800 - €4800 based on 40 hours perweek
• Extra benefits such as a end-of-yearbonus, bonus-scheme dependent on performance, travel allowanceetc.
