About the role
As the Senior Financial Controller at HSO International, you are essential to the company's success. You are responsible for keeping track of the company's finances, including executing and overseeing all financial and administrative processes from end to end and preparing the financial/management reporting.
You will be part of the Finance team, which consists of four people. You are responsible with the team for project administration, all financial processes, and reporting. You will be in the lead for controlling the financial processes, accurate PL/BS reporting and actuals versus budget/forecast analyses.

Requirements
During management team meetings, you can display your experience and provide financial input and insights. Run and oversee the entire financial administration, including month-end and year-end closing processes. Daily be sparring and collaborating with the management team and service line managers on the financials (actuals, budgeting, forecasting) Monitor project results and developments against plans and budgets weekly and monthly, proactively speaking to project managers and service line leaders. Perform ad hoc analyses of project progress, cost development, margins, and headcount compared to the business plan and benchmarks. Actively build and maintain relationships as business partners within the organisation and, to a large extent, be the management team's 'eyes and ears'. Signal when and in which areas the realizations are not going as expected, investigate and analyze further where necessary, and actively communicate or escalate this. Being involved in the month-end closing to interpret the results realized versus the business plan and communicating and liaising with stakeholders on outcomes and identified drivers. Work with the other Finance, Operations, and HR team members to obtain the information and insights you require to complete the analysis and support the recommendations.You have:
College / University Degree in Business Administration or Business Economics. The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a similar position. With a proven track record of working in accounting, controlling auditing, and reporting roles as a Senior Financial Controller. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrable financial competencies in the area of: GL accounting and month-end closing procedures Budgeting, forecasting and management reporting. Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work objectives. Experience with project organizations and project-based working is an advantage. Experience working in an (international) consultancy / professional services environment is an asset. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (F&O) 365 and PowerBI would be an asset.You are:
