The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for day-to-day operational efficiency of the Accounts Payable department and the Invoice/expense to payment process.
What you'll be doing
Responsible for booking, coding & payment of invoices. Responsible for the flow of financial documents (invoices / reminders / other). Responsible for reconciling vendor statements with invoices received. Processing of payments(SEPA, BACS, DD etc) on weekly basis to external parties. Set up and maintain of vendor accounts. Account for correct treatment of VAT on vendor invoices and employee expenses. Responsible for AP related balance sheet reconciliations. Search for continuous improvement in operational Accounts payable processes. Taking lead in several Accounts Payable projects. Ensure compliancy in Accounts Payable processes. Improve usage of financial tools in alignment with Bioventus IT and 3rd party service providers. Keep procedures for processing Accounts Payable updated in AP manual and relevant process documentation. Assist in month end closing and monthly reporting. Prepare and review T&E reports and proactively communicate findings to employees and management. (Concur) Assist with ad hoc assignment. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the vendors. Training new employees on the job. Provide internal T&E training (global policy and Concur). Dealing with and resolving supplier/vendor/employee queries. Act as central contact person for Accounts Payable, both internal as external. Provide support when required to other member(s) of the AP and Finance team. Liaising with auditors. Producing information (invoices/expenses) requested for internal/external audits and statutory accounting for local entities.
What you'll bring to the table
MBO or higher in Finance or equivalent. Solid accounting/administrative background (proven experience with AP and standard accounting) Working experience with ERP-systems and preferably SAP Working experience with Excel Excellent communication skills (fluent in English) Highly accurate Ability to adapt to rapid change as the business develops, capable of working under pressure and manage time effectively Working experience of Concur expense reporting system or similar would be advantageous.
