As IoT Engineer, you play a pivotal role in developing and implementing practical solutions for integrating physical devices, sensors, and other hardware components. The tools and technologies you use involve embedded linux, PLC's, HTTP, Modbus, manipulating historical data and struct.pack to play around with protocol data. In addition, you use (mostly) Python and communication protocols to enable machine to machine data sharing and control.

With a keen interest in experimenting with platforms like Raspberry Pi, Arduino, PYNQ, and beyond, you are a hands-on technologist who thrives on solving puzzles. Possessing a strong affinity for creating, testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and implementing pragmatic solutions, you bring a passion for technology to every project.

Furthermore, you stand out through your problem-solving ability and analytical skills. Technically, you are resourceful, curious, and eager to learn. You might not know something (yet), but when it's necessary, you'll figure it out in no time. 

Next to that you:  

1. Are a resident of The Netherlands and have a permanent work permit (we do not sponsor visas nor relocations).
2. Have at least 3 years of proven hands-on experience working with Python on (IoT/embedded) devices using GIT and automated testing.
3. Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. 
4. Have proper English communication and people skills; you are adept at conveying complex information to both expert and non-expert stakeholders. 
5. Some experience with (IoT/PLC) communication protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, and WebSocket, modbus and profinet.
6. And it would be great if you have affinity with Docker, Azure and Linux and experience in a fast-growing scale-up international environment.
