Introduction
For an Eindhoven based construction company, Nikkel at Work is looking for a Medior Financial Controller who will be part of a compact finance organization and will help manage the daily financial administration and project accounting of this construction company. The Medior Controller will also act as an internal bridge-builder in areas such as ERP, process optimization, and further preparing the finance function for the continuous growth that this company is experiencing.

The hiring company is a family-owned construction company from Eindhoven that has valued craftsmanship, sustainability, quality, development, and hands-on teamwork for 90 years. With around 80 colleagues, they work on beautiful and challenging projects in the fields of new construction, maintenance, and renovation, both in utility and residential construction. About the Medior Controller Position
As a Medior Controller, you will work as the proverbial right hand of the Senior Controller, handling various topics related to financial administration on a daily basis. These include:
- Overseeing the correct processing of incoming and outgoing invoices and suggesting and implementing process improvements in this area;
- Performing various (preparatory) tasks for periodic closings, including support for the external accountant;
- Maintaining accurate asset registration and asset management;
- Monitoring suspense accounts;
- Ensuring proper and well-allocated time registration;
- Providing support for ad-hoc financial analyses; and
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns.
Additionally, you will be actively involved in setting up and optimizing project administration, conducting checks, and preparing and monitoring project reports.
In terms of project administration, you will also be the point of contact and driving force for everything related to the ERP system used at this company, being BouwWorks. You will engage in active dialogue and collaboration with the project managers within the company to help them work more efficiently with BouwWorks. Through your efforts, project managers will gain better insight into the financial status of the projects they lead. At the same time, the Senior Controller and management will have a clearer picture of the company's day-to-day financial status, enabling them to make adjustments where necessary. For this aspect of the role, you will also collaborate with external parties involved in the further implementation and development of the ERP system.
In this role, you will report to the Senior Controller and be part of a finance team consisting of four colleagues in total.

What are we looking for in the new Medior Controller?
For the new Medior Controller, we are looking for the following qualifications:
- You have at least a Bachelor's degree (HBO) in finance or business economics, or you possess a comparable level of education or experience;
- You have a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, are familiar with project administration, and have strong analytical skills with attention to detail;
- You excel in teamwork and maintain a positive, critical view of the content. Additionally, you have strong communication skills with an open and approachable attitude;
- You understand the importance of finance and know how to convey it empathetically, thereby creating buy-in from your colleagues and working together toward perfect project administration;
- Ideally, you have experience working with BouwWorks and are proficient in Excel;
- You have a good knowledge of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
