For our client, Fugro, we are looking for a Corporate Counsel to join the Legal & Compliance department at their global headquarters in Leidschendam. About the role:

In this role you will be directly supporting Fugro’s Company Secretary on a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities, related to – amongst others – the meetings of Fugro’s executive leadership team and supervisory board, Fugro’s shareholders‘ meetings, compliance with applicable corporate law and the Dutch Corporate Governance Code, corporate housekeeping and legal entity management.

You will be:

* responsible for Fugro’s global corporate housekeeping programs
* provide legal support on Fugro’s global legal entity management initiatives
* draft, review and further standardise corporate documentation, including resolutions, powers of attorney and coordinate filings
* draft and review policies and guidelines to ensure corporate compliance
* coordinate with other departments and legal counsel across jurisdictions to a broad variety of corporate matters
* stay updated on relevant legal changes in corporate law across jurisdictions and support with implementation where relevant
As Corporate Counsel you will be part of Fugro’s legal team. The Corporate Counsel will report directly to the Company Secretary.

As Corporate Counsel you:

* have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a corporate counsel or in a role focused on corporate law
* have experience in entity management
* have exceptional organizational skills and project management skills with a keen eye for detail
* are a good team player but also able to work independently
* are intellectually and culturally curious
* have a relevant law degree from a university or university of applied sciences or a bachelor’s degree in law
* are fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Knowledge of Dutch Corporate Law is preferred.
