The Logistics Procurement organization at Eastman is divided into various categories. For the Marine and Air category, we are seeking an experienced Logistics Procurement Manager in the EMEA region. This role involves developing category strategies, negotiating supplier agreements, and fostering collaborative supplier relationships to deliver optimal benefits for Eastman Chemical’s business. EMEA procurement managers lead complex supplier relationships that often span regional boundaries. Effective logistics procurement is strategically vital to the success of Eastman Chemical. Develop sourcing strategy for assigned categories:
Includes understanding business needs Market analysis of the industry Short term and long term view Procurement Plans Strategies can be global in nature and require extensive collaboration with colleagues and supplier contacts that are ex-USAEastman subject matter expert on the category:
Including understanding financial performance of suppliers Develops innovative options to achieve business needs Negotiation of Contracts to support strategies Develop a variety of options to meet current and future business needs Develop & foster a relationship network within the suppliers In conjunction with Logistics Performance Specialist, drive SRMs for key suppliers Communication with SC and other conduits to business as appropriate Part of escalation chain for performance issues and crisis management Collaborate with rate auditing on invoice issues Requirements Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting or another related field Background in (logistics) procurement and HSE requirements (warehousing and transportation) Experience with lean management methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma Experience in Sourcing and contract management Experience with tender tools Knowledge of Microsoft office tools including PowerBi Strong analytical & interpersonal skills and ability to influence and guide others Spoken and written English APICS or CPM certification is a plus Experience in the category Marine & Air would be preferred Interested?For further information about this position please send your application via the apply button before 20th Aug 2024.
