Become a part of Philips Personal Health’s Male Grooming business within the innovation-driven development department. This department, with over 100 engineers, is structured into specialized groups responsible for the primary function development and implementation of metal forming and machining processes. These processes transform plate steel into intricate, high-precision metal parts.
- Industrial Process Design: Spearhead the design of new high-precision metal parts, with a focus on cold forming processes applied at (sub)micro precision levels for mass production.
- Specification Development: Collaborate with the team to establish functional specifications for equipment and tooling.
- Production Involvement: Engage in all stages of production, from designing and drawing tooling, testing, measuring produced samples, to analyzing results.
- Innovate Cold Forming Processes: Pre-develop essential cold forming building blocks, including tooling.
- Process and Material Interaction: Anticipate and understand the interactions between processes, materials, and product requirements.
- Simulation-Based Layouts: Create cold forming process layouts using finite element method simulations and digital-twin models.
- Optimization: Utilize digital-twin robust optimization to accelerate the development of capable processes.
- Experimental Execution: Define and conduct experiments across all phases of process development, including measurement and evaluation of results.
You will enhance your expertise by combining your strengths with the team's collective knowledge.
Candidate Profile- Education: An academic degree in Mechanics, Physics, or Material Science.
- Skills & Passion: A keen interest in precision metal working and geometrical measurements.
- Technical Expertise: Familiarity with Finite Element Modeling, MATLAB, and CAD.
- Analytical Ability: Strong analytical skills.
- Hands-On Approach: Practical, with a fast-learning attitude.
- Personal Qualities: Decisive, results-oriented, and a creative team player.
- Communication Skills: Able to effectively communicate with colleagues, management, technical specialists, production teams, and external suppliers.
