About the Job

Danone Global Engineering team primary focus is the support of factories’ engineering network worldwide. The team’s role is to ensure the excellence in design by developing engineering solutions for the business and sharing the engineering knowledge to improve efficiency of our manufacturing installations and processes. The team is international, including people working in the Netherlands and France, whilst the extended team has members from all around the world.

Global Engineering team started to develop the internal Discrete Flow Simulation Modelling capabilities. There are several projects identified to improve the efficiency and decision making for our local teams, and that’s where we will need your help to make it happen YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

Build the simulation model of the defined process: collect data, design the process, analyze bottlenecks and propose improvements for real life system Visualize and present the simulation outcomes Use the support of simulation modelling integrators (if required) Communicate with global & local teams to understand the project needs and expected outcomes

OVER JOU

You are a HBO or Master's student in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Software development or any related field. You have a model building experience with any Discrete Flows simulation software (Flexsim, Anylogic, Technomatics Plant Simulation, Simio, etc.). You are highly motivated, like to challenge yourself, and have an eye for detail, allowing you to complete assignments quickly and accurately. You have an analytical mindset, an affinity for engineering, process modelling, data processing and optimization, and programming. You have a great interest in improving the existing way of working, with getting the measurable outcomes as a result. You are proactive, have strong communication skills, and can work both independently and in a multinational team.

Experience in project management Knowledge, experience in Manufacturing processes / supply chain operations / technical environments is

There are also some compulsory requirements:

Enrolled as a HBO/Masters student during the whole internship period (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university); Ideally available to start in April for a minimum of 5-6 months, 4-5 days per week; You are fluent in English - oral and written; You are able to work from Hoofddorp office 1-2 times per week. Please note that you are required to relocate to the Netherlands (if abroad) for this internship and get a BSN.

We Offer

We offer a gross monthly internship allowance 650 euros per month and a home working allowance/contribution towards travel. Please do keep in mind that we do not offer relocation and/or accommodation benefits for students coming from abroad.

* Please be aware that you must acquire a BSN number to receive the full internship allowance.
