About the role:

As Senior Category Leader in Non-Food Retail your core responsibility is to acquire, manage and develop partnerships with some of the largest retailers across the globe ensuring JET establishes a market leading selection for convenience shoppers. Next to closing new partnerships you drive the development of the category consumer proposition working cross functionally with Tech, Marketing, Operations and Logistics teams unlocking market leadership in your verticals.

You are a valuable ally to Prospective Retail Partners enabling them to accomplish their strategic priorities and improve key metrics at partner better and faster. You are thoughtful and quick to determine fit, easily establish rapport at C-level and use a consultative based selling approach to create long term win/win partnerships unlocking profit and growth for both parties. You effectively navigate a larger DMU, are hands-on and results oriented and have a natural tendency to close quickly and thoroughly ensuring all stakeholders are aligned. Within JET you engage stakeholders ensuring the convenience proposition for your verticals develops in the right direction. You understand and leverage existing company capabilities across functions and drive the development of existing and new capabilities to ensure JET will become the vertical leader. 

These are some of the key ingredients to the role: 

  • Set JET up for long term success by developing a future proof consumer proposition in your vertical through deep consumer understanding;
  • Create and implement effective category plans to deliver sales objectives considering market opportunities and platform capabilities, including P&L;
  • Meet and exceed sales goals through lead generating, prospecting, qualifying, managing, closing and implementing sales opportunities at retailers within the assigned territory;
  • Lead and develop positive relationships with key decision-makers globally;
  • Act as global category lead establishing a centre of excellence, global frameworks and effective local market implementation of your verticals;
  • Co-own the global non-food retail strategy and help drive its evolvement
  • Engage JET functions such as tech, marketing, operations and logistics to develop company capabilities improving the shopping and selling experience within your vertical;

What will you bring to the table?

  • Extensive experience in new business sales and/or online category management;
  • Proven ability to close enterprise deals and drive fast, hands-on implementation;
  • Commercially savvy with strong negotiation,  influencing skills and ability to craft clear narratives;
  • Experience in building positive relationships and handling stakeholders across different departments and at all levels within the organisation;
  • High energy, autonomy and resilience with a “get it done” personality;
  • Data-driven, goes to root cause, uses relevant data to take decisions and provide insights;
  • Experience working in retail or retail marketplaces is a plus.
