About the roleThe food delivery market is developing rapidly and is being characterised by a high degree of innovation as well as fierce competition, which makes it essential to have direct control on costs and quality of the service offered. Therefore, the Sr. Business Planner is a key role within our Delivery Operations NL department, and requires the capability to source, organise and present data into meaningful insights that resonate with the business strategy and financial goals, as well as the capability to create a tactical business operations plan and ensuring all stakeholders within the organisation are on board to execute against this plan.
You will work closely with our various operations managers, sr. stakeholders and finance stakeholders across the organisation, forecasting and shaping our business operations plans on a tactical level, whilst still having the attention to detail to dive into operational planning and driving improvements into our operations. You can expect a high level of entrepreneurial spirit and within a close team working hard on a shared goal: being the most successful food delivery company in the world.
You'll enjoy a high degree of autonomy and the freedom to be creative and forward-thinking. Also you will have the opportunity to help shape the direction of our Delivery Operations for the Dutch Market, together with our management team and other senior stakeholders. Using your experience in stakeholder management, you’re able to step out from behind your desk to ensure plans are realistic yet ambitious – including travelling locally to do hands-on fieldwork.
These are some of the key ingredients to this role:
- Take ownership of and being the key driver of the End-to-end Planning Processes within our organisation, owning and leading critical processes that shape our strategic direction and operational efficiency;
- Collaborating closely with local and global stakeholders to refine local strategies and ensure alignment with company objectives. Your expertise will drive operational efficiency and resource allocation to meet business goals effectively;
- Act as a strategic advisor in setting targets and KPIs, monitoring progress, and providing actionable insights for performance improvement. You will ensure that our team remains focused on achieving our strategic objectives and continuously raises the bar for excellence;
- Drive the strategic planning process, together with your line manager and the Country Manager. Your insights will shape our long-term objectives and guide the direction of our organisation, positioning us for sustainable growth and success in a competitive market;
- Continuously evaluate our planning processes and identify opportunities for innovation and optimization. Your proactive approach will drive operational effectiveness and position us as leaders in our market, ensuring that we stay ahead of the curve and deliver value to our customers;
- Work alongside your business planning and operational planning colleagues within the Netherlands and globally to drive an aligned strategy.
What will you bring to the table?
- 5+ years related experience in demand planning, analytics or consultancy roles;
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Business or related field;
- Proficiency in data analysis and data analysis tools (Excel and Tableau); and subsequently presentation skills (e.g. Powerpoint);
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data and identify trends;
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management;
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
- Strategic thinking and the ability to translate insights into actionable plans to drive results;
- Able and willing to travel within the Netherlands regularly as part of the role;
- Fluent in English (written & spoken), Dutch is a plus.
