Position Summary:

The Senior Scientist Advanced Therapies will work in a team of scientists supporting cell and gene therapy development. The team works to establish and optimize an AAV production platform. Activities includes vector engineering, research and preGMP production procedures and development of analytical testing capabilities. In addition, this role will work closely with both discovery and CMC development teams on AAV Gene Therapy products and other cell and gene therapy modalities. The qualified candidate is a highly motivated, interactive, creative individual with excellent people and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for research scale manufacturing and testing pipeline for gene therapy products and product intermediates.
  • Leading adenovirus vector engineering and cell line development projects.
  • Work closely with discovery and CMC colleagues to align on manufacturing and analytical procedures. Support CMC development of advanced therapy product candidates.
  • Lead and manage own teams' technology projects and establish internal and external scientific collaborations.
  • Report and present scientific data, internal and externally.
  • Supervise and lead a team of scientists and support their professional development.
