Marketing & Sales Executive – Defence & Security Communications
A specialist communications agency is seeking a Marketing & Sales Executive to support business growth through strategic marketing initiatives and relationship-building. This is an opportunity for a PR, communications, or marketing professional to develop their career in a purpose-driven environment, working at the intersection of technology, defence, and security.
Role Overview
The Marketing & Sales Executive will collaborate closely with senior leadership to manage and execute marketing and sales strategies. This role involves developing campaign materials, identifying industry opportunities, and building strong client relationships to drive engagement and business growth. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of military culture, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and execution of marketing and sales strategies in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Develop and manage campaign materials, including newsletters, content, and award entries.
- Identify and secure speaking engagements and industry event participation.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients through regular networking at key events.
- Assist in preparing proposals and pitch materials for new business opportunities.
- Ensure a seamless handover of new clients by coordinating with internal teams.
- Manage the CRM system and maintain an accurate sales pipeline.
- Support event planning and coordination.
- Work with designers to create engaging, on-brand content across various platforms.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 2 years' experience in PR, communications, or marketing, with a strong understanding of military culture.
- Confident communicator with excellent presentation, networking, and active listening skills.
- Ability to develop tailored communication and marketing solutions for clients.
- Interest in STEM, defence, and security technology, with experience using CRM systems like HubSpot.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects effectively.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to grow within a dynamic environment.
- Willing to undergo security vetting and travel regularly (4-6 times per month) across Europe.
