Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Designer

Exciting opportunity for an ambitious Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Designer to join a rapidly growing engineering organization supporting major FEED and EPC projects across the refinery, petrochemical, & chemical sectors. Zo ja, en bent u ervan overtuigd dat dit de functie voor u is, zorg er dan voor dat u zo snel mogelijk solliciteert.Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage 3D (E3D) models of Instrument & power equipment, cable trays, lighting fixtures, cable trenches, and electrical equipment for substation buildings.Prepare, Optimization and issue 2D drawings &Layout: Develop and maintain E&I layout drawings, including cable routing plans, equipment locations, and equipment.Optimize 3D modelling for efficient space utilization and constructability in offshore environments.Material Take-Off to perform MTO calculations and support cost estimation and procurement strategies, ensuring material selection aligns with project specifications.Compliance & Standardization: Ensure all design deliverables comply with international standards (IEC, IEEE, API, ISO) and project-specific requirements.Collaborate with engineers to translate technical specifications into practical, cost-effective designs for tender submissions.Cable routing, equipment placement, and interface designs during early-phase engineering.Coordinate with Process engineers to gather necessary information and requirements for process designs to develop accurate and detailed PFDs and P&IDsEnsure compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and safety regulations.Coordinate with engineers, designers, and other disciplines to resolve design issues.Review and check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and constructability.Maintain project documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes.AbilitiesFluent in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication with teams and stakeholders.Codes and Standards Application: experience in interpretation of international codes and standards such as API, NFPA, etc.Software Proficiency: Working knowledge of MS Office Suite software and other technical software such as AutoCAD and AVEVAExperience with other tools such as MicroStation, SmartPlant Electrical, SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI), or similar tools are beneficial.Strong knowledge of E&I systems, layouts, and design standards.Ability to produce accurate 2D deliverables and detailed engineering drawings.Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with other engineering disciplines and liaise with external subcontractors and equipment vendors.Proven skills to effectively communicate with cross-functional project teams and to collaborate with external stakeholders.Experience and adaptability working with international companies and licensors in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and Refinery sectors.Innovative thinking to improve the execution of work, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.QualificationsDegree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.5 -10 years of E&I working experience in Operating Companies or EPC Contractors.The legal requirements to work and reside in the Netherlands is desirable. xnkfpon OfferA market-competitive salary & benefits package will be offered and if you are transferring from abroad (EU/Non-EU), you can expect relocation assistance and support.If you would like to be part of an exciting journey of innovation, creativity and excellence and want to make a difference whilst maximizing your professional skills and knowledge then this could be the role for you.Please send your most up to date CV and introductory statement that details your current compensation package, visa status and anything else you would like to include to
