Limited remote or hybrid options as a onsite presence is required.Contract Length: 12 months (initial)Start Date: ASAP – client looking to move quickly on qualified profilesWorking Hours: Full-time onsiteLanguage Requirements: Dutch preferred, English acceptableProject OverviewA leading offshore wind EPC contractor is seeking a freelance E&I Project Manager to oversee the Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) scope for offshore wind substation construction. You will ensure the safe, timely, and high-quality delivery of installation, connection, and testing activities performed by subcontractors.You will act as the main interface between:The E&I subcontractorInternal departments (engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, planning, safety)The client/end customerYour RoleOversee all E&I installation activities (cable trays, cables, equipment) carried out by subcontractors.Manage subcontractor performance on quality, progress, and safety.Ensure compliance with offshore safety and quality standards.Coordinate inspections, FATs, and testing with subcontractors and client representatives.Report progress and deviations to project management.Collaborate closely with engineering and design partners to resolve technical queries and implement design adjustments during construction.Lead technical and commercial coordination related to E&I scope, including budget adherence and change management.Your Profile5+ years of experience managing or coordinating E&I scopes within marine, offshore, or energy projects.Proven background managing lump-sum E&I subcontractors on new build projects.Strong technical grounding in electrical and instrumentation systems (cable installation, terminations, testing, and commissioning).Ability to balance technical and commercial responsibilities effectively.Stakeholder management and communication skills across engineering and site teams.Strong awareness of offshore safety standards and quality requirements.Dutch language skills are a plus; English fluency required.Bonus SkillsHands-on experience dealing directly with subcontractors, engineering partners, and client representatives.Familiarity with offshore substations, wind platforms, or comparable large-scale industrial installations.Apply now – immediate project start possible
