Senior AI Engineer (Contract)We're supporting a leading organization in their search for a Senior AI Engineer to help shape, lead, and deliver cutting-edge Generative AI solutions into production.You'll be joining a high-performing data and AI team focused on developing intelligent systems that enhance knowledge management, accelerate insights, and scale innovation across the business.The Role:You'll play a key role in the design and deployment of Generative AI and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) solutions, mentoring engineers, and driving technical excellence. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building and deploying AI models in production, as well as the leadership skills to guide others through complex delivery.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design, development, and deployment of Generative AI use cases into productionArchitect and implement RAG / Graph RAG pipelines for enterprise-scale AI systemsBuild and optimize APIs using FastAPI or FlaskWork with Big Data and Knowledge Management Systems , leveraging tools such as DatabricksDeploy and scale solutions using Azure Cloud , particularly the Azure AI StackEvaluate and enhance AI performance using frameworks like RAGASMentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices within the AI engineering teamMust have:✅ Proven experience as a Senior AI Engineer or Tech Lead✅ Hands-on Python development background✅ Strong understanding of Generative AI , RAG , and Graph RAG✅ Experience with Big Data and Knowledge Management Systems✅ Expertise in Azure AI Stack and Azure Cloud Services✅ Familiarity with RAGAS or similar evaluation frameworks✅ A track record of leading teams and bringing Generative AI solutions into productionWhy Join?This is an opportunity to take ownership of AI innovation within a large-scale, data-driven organization, working with modern tools, talented peers, and the freedom to shape best practices in an evolving space.If you're a technically strong AI Engineer who's passionate about turning Generative AI concepts into tangible, production-grade solutions - we'd love to hear from you.Details:📍 Hybrid – Randstad ⏰ 12-month interim payroll contract (No ZZP)💰 €90- 95 per hour or €7k net monthly salary (including holiday, pension and expenses)
