An import specialist coordinates incoming airfreight shipments from start to finish, ensuring an efficient and smooth import process. They communicate closely with clients and other involved parties to ensure shipments are handled accurately and on time.

Description


  • Assist in onboarding new customers, alongside those already managed by the team, to ensure a smooth transition to our service.
  • Develop relationships with customers to achieve team goals.
  • Support the Import Team in meeting their objectives.
  • Ensure accurate and complete entry of shipment and customer information into the system.
  • Book shipments with carriers - airlines and road transport companies.
  • Process all import documentation, including but not limited to: Bill of Lading, waybills, CMR, etc.
  • Process customs declarations.
  • Adhere to destination-specific documentation requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all monthly KPIs and timely completion of billing requirements.
  • Provide competitive quotes to customers and foreign offices, with a focus on intelligent purchasing.
  • Resolve daily issues with customers and suppliers, including issuing NCRs.
  • Advise customers on all aspects of importing cargo.
