Who are we?

At Ampowr we provide both the hardware and software, and we are currently busy building out a portfolio of Battery Energy Storage Solutions (BESS). This software needs to operate these systems intelligently, allowing for operational optimization, cost reduction or even monetization of the BESS. Currently, we can count on a limited team of Software Engineers, dealing with pieces of hardware and configurations that are tailored to each customer site. Therefore, we are looking at moving the system from its current MVP state, with several large pilots, into a full-fledged global Energy Management System (EMS).

Whom are we looking for?

We are seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to enhance and expand our in-house software solutions. This role will focus on exposing Cosmos EMS controls and metrics to the frontend, developing our customer portal, visualizing analytics and improving the user experience. Besides this, you'll help us further develop internal tools for advanced battery monitoring, energy trading analytics and asset management. If you are passionate about building robust, scalable applications and have experience in software-hardware integration or energy analytics, you will play a key role in taking our global operations and product offering to the next level.

To be successful in this role, you are expected to:

  • Deliver Cloud-based software solutions for customers and external users;
  • Drive the development of tools such as the customer portal, battery fleet management tool, and an internal asset management tool;
  • Act as a technical advisor to internal and external stakeholders (occasionally at their site), providing insights and guidance on technical/UI aspects of projects;
  • Part of a high-performing Software Engineering team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Qualifications:

  • 5 + years-experience with Software Development;
  • Strong affinity with TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks (like NestJS, VueJS, ReactJS)
  • Experience with design tools (Figma, Zeppelin, Canva)
  • Experience with automation tools, including Test Automation and CI/CD Pipelines
  • Experience with liaising directly with customers and external stakeholders
  • Optional: Experience with IaaC (Terraform, Ansible, etc)
  • Work experience or affinity with Energy Monitoring System (EMS) is a bonus point
  • Work experience or affinity with Time-Series database
