If you hold a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering and have solid experience as an FPGA designer, then you might be the one we're looking for.Job MissionAs an FPGA designer, you play a crucial role in a team of designers working at a system level. Your main focus is on electronic design and maintenance of FPGA IP blocks for ASML products.Job DescriptionJoining the Generic Design Blocks (GDB) team as an FPGA designer means taking on the following responsibilities:
  • Be the EDEV representative in a cross-functional design team.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues from software & hardware departments.
  • Define, document, and maintain requirements for various IP's.
  • Participate in the development of firmware-related products.
  • Design, document, and execute tests to ensure firmware meets requirements.
  • Conduct trade-off studies to determine the best implementation scenarios.
  • Contribute to GDB roadmap discussions and favor COTS solutions and industry standards.
  • Create work breakdown and planning for firmware products in coordination with stakeholders.
  • Resolve issues during product integration and analyze/design solutions for GDB.
EducationBachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.Experience
  • 3+ years of FPGA or IC design experience required.
  • Proficiency in VHDL / RTL Design is essential.
  • Experience with SystemVerilog/Verilog is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of UVM or System Verilog based verification environments is preferred.
  • Understanding of digital IPs and familiarity with programming cores like NIOSII / ARM's in C is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Altera / Xilinx Design Flow is advantageous.

  • Highly motivated team player with strong social and communication skills.
  • Ability to provide technical direction in a team setting.
  • Focus on quality and efficiency, combined with a pragmatic attitude.
  • Effective and logical organization of work.
  • Proficient in English (Dutch knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory).
Other InformationThe Development & Engineering (D&E) sector at ASML handles the specification, design, and realization of products.The Electronic Development (EDEV) department is responsible for electronic functions and modules.Embedded Computing Engineering (ECE) within EDEV is in charge of Embedded computing platforms, with the GDB team focusing on generic FPGA IP blocks.The FPGA designer will report to the GDB Team leader.
