During the Agile transformation the ASML IT organization was moved into Business Facing ART's and Platform ART's. During this transformation the role of the SAP BTP Product Owner landed within the SAP Platform ART.

Product Owner - SAP Business Technology Platform

As product owner you are an important member of the Agile Release Train (ART) which supports the SAP Platforms in ASML. The SAP Platform ART provides a wide range of SAP products and services for on-premises and cloud to Business Facing Agile Release Trains.

As a Product Owner within ASML SAP Platform ART, you drive together with the Chief Product Owner and System Architect the technology and feature roadmap of SAP BTP . Next to that you are setting up and shaping the SAP BTP governance and future state team structure together with the Release Train Engineer. You are responsible for the products and services of SAP BTP platform delivery and platform operations.

You can balance different requests and inspire the teams of platform engineers with your vision, leadership and focus to do what creates the most value for ASML. You will be involved in the ramp up of HANA cloud for application development, further productizing SAP BTP build and integration solutions and newly released products on SAP BTP.

Role and responsibilities

ASML IT works in an Agile SAFe way. You are inspired by building up and maturing the SAP BTP platform, demanding projects in a multidisciplinary context. You excel at filtering incoming requests and prioritize such that the SAP BTP teams deliver on what has the most value for ASML. You will prepare the backlog together with your team for the new Program Increments and ensure that backlog items have met the acceptance criteria.

You will oversee multiple teams with technical SAP BTP platform competencies and will:

Create and maintain long term roadmap and plan for the (integrated) team deliverables. Lead the teams in delivery of their commitments, comprising of new product introductions, supporting business process improvements, and platform support. Maximize value creation by the teams, by setting the right priorities and bringing clarity to what is being asked. Work on organizational development, productizing IT platform services, maturing services, developing team competences with the scrum master and enabling new technology via Proof of Concepts and Proof of Value features. Collaborate with other (Chief) Product Owners to align on priorities and their objectives and features needed. Support your team in slicing work into smaller valuable pieces for smart MVP delivery and planning. Work together with Scrum Master in mitigating risks and managing dependencies (in- and outside the ART) and identify team improvements; Manage epics together with the other Product Owners of the ART and own features from intake to full closure. Enable the team to focus on the deliverables.

Education and experience

Bachelor of Science or MSc in IT Engineering, or equivalent. 8+ years of work experience in SAP technology, of which 1-3 years preferably in BTP / Cloud domain. Preferably worked as a Product Owner in an Agile organization. Being SAFe PMPO certified is a plus. Experience as project/product manager. You know what it takes to make a delivery happen.

Skills and mindset

Strong stakeholder management. Acts as the voice of the stakeholders and communicates why deliverables are important. Minimum Viable Product mindset, long term planning, can-do mentality. You know when to challenge the status quo while never losing sight of the team goal and product direction. Ability to organize teams together with Scrum Master, experience in setting up new teams. Strong in influencing and inspiring people and leading change. Be able to maintain a helicopter view. Strong (English) communication skills – both written and oral, ability to influence. You are curious, able to look ahead and willing to take ownership and lead by example. Highly motivated, enthusiastic, flexible and ability to think and act on a strategic level. Strong analytical ability with a pragmatic attitude. Strong and broad SAP IT background Understanding of KanBan/Scrum boards preferably in tools used like Jira Align and Jira Cloud.
