Our client AMPCO METAL is a top global manufacturer and distributor of specialty copper alloys and engineered products.
Major industries served include chemical and petroleum, machine tools, primary metal producers, transportation, and various industrial and commercial machinery.
AMPCO METAL produces a wide range of alloys distributed through its global service centers.
For their European Distribution Centre in Woerden, The Netherlands, we are seeking an Operations Manager - Peoplemanager. We need a hands-on, structured professional with operational excellence and autonomy.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the team, setting milestones, managing the budget, focusing on teambuilding, and internal process improvement.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations
- Lead and develop the team
- Implement LEAN techniques and Continuous Improvement
- Enhance personal skills and employability of team members
- Communicate with other AMPCO locations and staff
- Asset management
Job requirements:
- HBO education level
- Minimum of five years' experience managing operations teams
- Background in logistics, distribution, or production in the metal field
- Proficiency in material properties and LEAN techniques
- Digital skills in ERP and digitalization projects
- Fluency in English and Dutch
