Being a hostel manager at Hostelle: You need to be capable and willing to handle almost everything involved in operating the hostel independently.

You should possess a sense of ownership and responsibility in the business.

Tasks

Your main focuses:

  • Leading the team: Train and manage the staff so everyone's performing at their best.
  • Getting the word out: increase bookings, particularly on social media and relevant platforms.
  • Frontline hospitality: Manage reception tasks and ensure every guest has a positive experience.

You might also be involved in:

  • Maintaining cleanliness: Ensure the place is spotless and everything is working well.
  • Quality assurance: Ensure the hostel maintains high standards.
  • Thinking strategically: Assist in planning and implementing business and marketing strategies.
  • Financial oversight: Monitor the budget to ensure financial stability.
  • Maximizing revenue: Develop strategies to enhance revenue, such as adjusting prices based on demand.
Requirements

  • Availability: Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required in a hospitality setting.
  • Problem-

Ability to promptly deal with and resolve operational issues.

  • Customer Focus: Commitment to delivering outstanding service and creating positive guest interactions.
  • Leadership Qualities: Effective leadership abilities, including motivating and inspiring a team towards shared objectives.
