Role Description

This role is based in Amsterdam

The Senior Product Manager for the Location Experience Team will own and drive the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for complex location-related content and map experiences across multiple platforms. This role requires leading multiple development teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders to align strategies and priorities, ensuring user delight and significant business impact.

The scope of the Accommodations Tech team touches all the products that relate to Accommodations, from the platform to the end-user and everything in between. This is the largest and fastest growing department at You will have a chance to help one of the largest travel websites in the world

Within Accommodations, the Location Experience Team is crucial to delivering seamless and engaging map experiences for our users on web, mobile, desktop, and app platforms. This team collaborates closely with various business units (BUs) including engineering, design, marketing, and data science, integrating location-based services across the organization and driving innovation in our location-based offerings.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties

Product Ownership: Define and drive the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for complex products/features or a portfolio of smaller features. Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead multiple development teams and influence cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of strategies and priorities. Strategic Vision: Develop a long-term vision and strategy for products/features that achieve significant business impact, informed by qualitative and quantitative insights. Organizational Complexity: Navigate and manage organizational complexity, ensuring alignment and effective collaboration across teams. User and Product Insights: Utilize a wide range of qualitative and quantitative insights to understand, articulate, and size user and product problems. Optimization and New Product Development (NPD): Drive meaningful incremental performance in an optimization setting and lead new product development from 0-to-1, achieving significant business impact or generating new strategic data. Market Research: Conduct market research and user feedback sessions to identify user needs, market trends, and competitive landscape. Stakeholder Management: Communicate product plans, progress, and results to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment and buy-in. User Experience Advocacy: Ensure that product designs are user-centric and meet high standards of usability and accessibility. Product Impact : Measure the business impact of product features, including user engagement, and satisfaction metrics. Roadmap Execution: Track the successful delivery of product roadmap milestones and adherence to timelines. Cross-Functional Alignment: Assess the effectiveness of cross-functional collaboration and alignment of strategies across teams. User Feedback: Evaluate user feedback and satisfaction levels through surveys etc. Innovation and NPD Success : Measure the success of new product launches and incremental improvements, including adoption rates and performance metrics. Market Position : Monitor the competitive landscape and the team's ability to stay ahead of market trends and user needs. Operational Efficiency: Track the efficiency of product development processes and the ability to meet project deadlines within budget.

Role Qualifications and Requirements

User-Centric: Proven experience in developing high-quality, user-focused products. Experience working on large scale customer-focused products. Product Management: At least 7 years of experience in product management. Strategic Vision: Expertise in long-term strategy development and effective roadmap execution. Analytical Skills: Strong ability to use data for decision-making and problem identification. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts clearly. Results-Driven: Demonstrated track record of achieving significant business impact. Experience with Location and Map Information: Previous experience working with location-based services or map-related content is a must-have for this role
