We are looking for a skilled HR Business Partner to join Avient as Global HR Leader for our Protective Materials business. This pivotal role involves developing and executing strategic and operational plans for human resources services, policies, and programs by utilizing the expertise and talents of Avient's worldwide HR team. The incumbent will drive decision-making processes and positively influence the organization's outcomes by attracting, engaging, developing, rewarding, and retaining top talent in a cost-effective and compliant manner.GLOBAL HR LEADEREssential Functions
  • Key member of the Protective Materials management team, overseeing HR aspects across the employee life cycle.
  • Manages projects/initiatives and associated staff to enhance the APM client group and HR department.
  • Acts as a strategic partner with leaders to implement HR initiatives aligning with business goals.
  • Takes charge of talent management plans for the APM business unit.
  • Collaborates with HR Centers of Excellence and regional teams to drive value through people and culture programs.
  • Utilizes data to support decisions and communicate recommendations effectively.
  • Cultivates a high-performance culture emphasizing empowerment, quality, and goal attainment.
  • Proactively suggests processes with a positive return on investment.
  • Fosters teamwork and acts as a change catalyst.
  • Monitors key metrics to maximize workforce productivity.
  • Implements plans to enhance HR department performance and innovation.
  • Demonstrates business acumen impacting the bottom line positively.
  • Manages involvement in specific areas such as employee relations and talent management.
  • Ensures HR policies comply with regulations.
  • Promotes a safety mindset and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Performs other assigned projects.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 7-10 years' experience as an HR generalist with knowledge of Dutch labor regulations.
Additional Qualifications
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize critical aspects.
  • Attention to detail and proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong coaching, training, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively within the organization.
  • Organizational and cross-functional leadership skills.
