How do you translate Schiphol's ambitions and goals into a project? And how do you ensure that the value for Schiphol is translated into verifiable design requirements? This is how you connect the Netherlands to the rest of the world. Your specific approach? That's up to you. At Schiphol Group, we rely on your talents, such as your ability to connect with others. As a Value and Stakeholder Manager (Systems Engineer), you will turn your skills into actions to achieve the following goals:

  • You thoroughly understand the users' needs, their operational processes, and translate them into functional requirements that align with the existing airport while stimulating innovation to elevate the airport to new heights
  • You are the bridge that brings together multidisciplinary technical specialists with a wide range of airport users
  • You ensure that not only are needs clearly translated at the start, but also that value is actually realized during design and construction
  • You oversee that we build not only correctly but also the right things in projects

In this role, you will collaborate with various stakeholders from across the organization, acting as the link between business and projects. Together, you will contribute to Schiphol's future as the Most Sustainable Airport.

For this position, you should work with a sense of calm, order, and discipline. You should also have good interpersonal skills. Additionally, you should have:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field, urban planning, or technical business administration/governance.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in preparing complex projects.
  • Knowledge of system engineering.
  • Proficiency in Dutch, both spoken and written.
  • And of course, a great deal of curiosity to delve into and tackle new challenges

Please note: this is not an IT role.

You get this
  • € 4,743 to € 6,581 based on 36 hours (scale 12)
  • 8.33% fixed bonus at the end of the year.
  • Compensation of € 3.00 net per day for remote work.
  • 180 vacation hours.
  • 14.4 diversity hours. You can use these hours to take an (extra) day off on a holiday of your choice.

About the Team

The Asset Management department is becoming increasingly important for Schiphol's development. With a team of 349 colleagues, we work together with our clients to understand our users' needs and desires. What quality are they looking for and what risks are involved? With this information, we devise suitable and economically safe solutions for our assets and services, always with a focus on the customer and results.
