The Staff Accountant is a critical component of the Accounting Team and shares responsibility for producing complete, accurate and timely financials. The Staff Accountant position is responsible for processing day-to-day transactions as well as assisting in month end accounting functions, performing reconciliations, and supporting different teams of the Internantionalinance department.
Responsibilities:
Accounting: serving multiple divisions or locations of the companyMake all necessary ledger entries, ensuring the accounts reflect accurate and complete transactional informationPerform reconciliation of bank statements, financial accounts and ledgers periodicallyCreate and post normal and correcting journal entries and maintain records and files as necessary to ensure compliance and accuracyManage and recognize prepaid expensesFixed Assets management for multiple divisions or locationsPrepare VAT workpapers for multiple divisions or locationsActively participate in month-end accounting: this includes owning the elements of accounting checklist and producing reconciliations, prepare designated workpapersProvide support with Accounts Payable duties: approve invoices sent by AP, process credit card transactions, raise intercompany invoicesBanking duties: bank payments of the AP batch, deposit cash receipts in NetSuiteMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required2-3 years of accounting experienceExperience with GAAP accrual accounting a mustExperience with Microsoft Excel and Word, Google Sheets and DocsExperience using NetSuite or equivalent ERP such as SAPStrong verbal and written English Knowledge of the French language is a plusAbility to analyze data using Microsoft Excel or Google sheetsExcellent time management and organization skillsMust be very detail orientedAbility to work independently but at the same time be able to collaborate with the teamOur Fantastic Benefits
