Customers make extraordinary investments in ASML machines and systems. Customer Support (CS) works towards ensuring the systems in customers' fabs are running at the highest levels of predictability and availability. Our focus is to keep them operational through maximizing yields and minimizing downtime in a cost-effective way to realize our service business objectives.

CS DUV service engineering is part of the CS Central organization and is the (technical) interface between field engineers and Development & Engineering. We are the voice of the field. Our department owns the field service technical & scanner performance landscape and is responsible to define, implement and drive solutions for structural issues to optimize service (cost) for both the install base (> 3000 DUV scanners) and new to be defined systems.

Your assignment

As an intern, your main objective is to enhance the progress-tracking reporting process by creating, choosing or integrating tooling. This to enhance the efficiency of the people in the department. You use your unbiased fresh view to spot gaps or improvement opportunities in the current way of working and tooling.

Your primary assignment deliverables include:

Development of a Progress-Tracking Reporting:

Identify performance indicators that effectively measure team progress in line with the defined quarter plan. Develop and implement a reporting models and WoW to provide real-time insights into progress and deviations from the plan and enable proactive decision-making, facilitating course corrections.

Enhanced Clarity in Team and Departmental Reporting:

Analyze existing reporting structures and identify areas for improvement in clarity and comprehensiveness. Develop standardized formats for team reports that enhance readability and understanding of progress towards objectives. Create a streamlined process for aggregating team reports into a cohesive departmental overview, ensuring alignment with overarching goals and easy communication with external stakeholders.

Improvement of Existing Tooling for Progress-Tracking Reporting:

Identify the report which are needed for all users. Evaluate current tools used for capturing and tracking planned deliverables across teams. Identify gaps or inefficiencies in the existing excel tooling and propose enhancements or alternative solutions. Implement improvements to the tooling infrastructure to facilitate seamless tracking, monitoring and reporting of planned teams' deliverables throughout the quarter.

Throughout the internship, you will collaborate closely with different colleagues among CS DUV ENG department, including cluster leaders, project leaders, and CS engineer, to gather requirements, implement solutions, and iterate based on feedback. Potentially you will also interview main external stakeholder (e.g. UIR, CS NPI) to understand their needs with respect to communication of our department Quarter Plan.

Your final deliverables will include a comprehensive report detailing the implemented enhancements, a demonstration of the improved tooling, and recommendations for ongoing optimization of the integrated performance framework. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in performance management, data analysis, resource management and project execution within a dynamic organizational environment.

Your profile

To be the perfect match for this internship, you:

Are a bachelor/HBO or master student in Business Administration, Performance Management or something related; Are proficient in Power BI and Excel; Have knowledge about KPI management and reporting; Are creative, hands-on and pragmatic; Have excellent investigative and analytical skills; Have excellent communication skills in English, both in writing and speaking.

This is a bachelor/HBO assignment suitable for graduation or a master apprentice internship. The minimum duration is 5 months, for 4/5 days per week. The start date is as of September 2024.
