The internship
Together, we will do our part to brew a better world:

  • You will support the activation of our global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy across the world.
  • Your main responsibilities will be:
  • Support in the design and delivery of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) priorities
  • Assist with DEI campaigns throughout the year to drive engagement of the topic
  • Coordination of activities for DEI ambassadors and Employee Resource Groups
  • Program coordination, data gathering, data analysis, benchmarks and insights
  • Assistance with creation of executive presentations
  • You will be working in the Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team located in Amsterdam, as well as with the DEI ambassadors and Employee Resource Groups all over the world.


During your internship you will get the opportunity to get to know HEINEKEN as a company, also outside your department.

The department


The global DEI team is a team gathering multiple nationalities, generations, education backgrounds and personalities, where we inspire the full organization's DEI journey - a joyous, sometimes bumpy journey - where we grow by opening our hearts and minds to foster a sense of true togetherness.

The global DEI team sits within the Global Talent & Leadership department within the People Function.

The terms of employment

  • Your starting date is 1 September 202
  • The internship is fulltime (in consultation also 4 days a week possible)
  • The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (in consultation with your internship supervisor)
  • It is a practiceoriented internship internship
  • You will be based in Amsterdam
  • Hybride working / Amsterdam
  • You will receive an internship fee of €500 gross pm based on 40 hours per week
  • You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on fulltime)
  • If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed

The start of your internship
Together with a diverse group of interns from different departments you will start your internship at HEINEKEN. Together you will be introduced to the organization. Furthermore, you can organize fun activities with your fellow interns.

  • Proactive, pragmatic with a handson mentality and attention to detail and quality.
  • Team worker with the ability to lead your own projects and juggle priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, wellversed at wrapping up complex ideas and projects in a concise way and ability to connect with diverse people and cultures

We believe that everyone has unique talents and are therefore looking for you

  • Passionate or curious about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
  • HBO or WO education
  • Experienced user of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. A bonus if you are familiar with working data analytics tools such as PowerBI)

You are enrolled at an educational institution.

In the case of non
EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution, from which we receive proof of enrollment for the current academic year from you.

In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.

Living in the Netherlands during internship (HEINEKEN does not facilitate housing).
