In January 2021, a company was established in Rotterdam by a chemical manufacturer. This startup specializes in a raw material used in coatings and epoxy, among other applications. The company, originally of Japanese origin, primarily uses English as the working language. The European market exhibits high demand for this raw material, with efficient logistics and transportation processes in place. Collaborating with its parent company provides ample opportunities for growth.

Working hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a half-hour break. Remote work is feasible, but presence at the Botlek office for 2/3 days is required. The company also offers office spaces in the wholesale building near Rotterdam Central Station. Parking at the Botlek office is free, and travel expenses are reimbursed. Easy access by car or public transport from locations like Delft, Schiedam, Westland, Rotterdam, and Den Haag.

Functieomschrijving
As a Financial & Accounting Assistant, you'll work 32-40 hours weekly at an international company. Operating from a splendid Botlek office, your financial and accounting expertise will be crucial. Joining a team of 4 members, with plans for expansion, you'll contribute significantly to both company and personal growth. Close collaboration with the Manager Finance & Accounting will be part of your role.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Reporting daily and periodic accounting information to the Manager Finance & Accounting.
  • Maintaining the general ledger through the ERP system.
  • Accurate assignment of financial transactions to respective cost centers/accounts.
  • Assisting in preparing accounting statements and handling invoices.
  • Generating management accounting reports and collaborating on cost accounting summaries.
Functie-eisen
  • Minimum of HBO, HEAO, or MEAO degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of proven experience as a financial officer.
  • Proficiency in Dutch GAAP, Dutch tax laws, and English language (spoken and written).
  • Experience with MS Office, ERP systems, or other accounting software.
Arbeidsvoorwaarden
  • Direct employment with the company.
  • An annual salary ranging from €55,000 to €60,000 (including vacation pay).
  • Travel allowance of 0.22 cents per km and full reimbursement for public transport.
  • Flexible Full-time or Part-time hours.
  • Temporary contract with the potential for permanent placement.
  • Work-from-home options and 25 vacation days.
