The ING Fraud department has a key role in ensuring secure and smooth banking operations for society. Their primary focus is on safeguarding their customers' financial well-being by actively combating fraudulence. The team is committed to preventing and identifying fraudulent activities to secure customers and guarantee the safety and usability of their products.



The team | Squad


Our Security Toolkit squad is dedicated to preventing fraud in the customer environment. With the rise of AI and the increasing sophistication of fraudsters, protecting customers' financial interests is paramount. By joining this team, you'll be contributing to boosting customers' confidence in digital banking and providing tools to shield them from financial losses due to fraud.



Roles and responsibilities


As a Product Manager within the Fraud department's Prevention division, you'll collaborate across the bank to enhance services for customers and internal teams. Your main focus will be on balancing an outstanding digital customer experience with robust security measures against fraud. Operating in a dynamic setting, you'll need to take the lead, think critically, and interact with various internal and external stakeholders.


  • Acting as the business representative to steer IT development, defining customer requirements, and implementing new features that utilize behavioral science to help customers protect themselves from scams.
  • Generating new features based on scientific research or competitive analysis and working with IT and business colleagues to implement them.
  • Proposing and executing service improvements based on data analysis and customer feedback.
  • Collaborating with multiple teams to create a digitization roadmap aligned with ING's growth strategy.
  • Owning the entire product lifecycle, from discovery to delivery, and devising innovative solutions while considering risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Ensuring the continuity and quality of data and services to support service consumers.

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in a complex Agile environment.
  • Experience in refining and implementing new features and functionalities.
  • A strong affinity with IT and a comprehensive understanding of intricate IT environments, enabling you to challenge Architecture and engineering experts.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage team processes from vision to maintenance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to giving and receiving feedback.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.
  • Relevant education at least at HBO/bachelor level.
