What You Will Do as a Team Manager of Head Conductors in Eindhoven

As a team manager of head conductors, you are responsible for the daily management of about 20 head conductors at Eindhoven depot. You ensure that they can perform their work well. You also ensure the continuity of improving their performance, providing excellent customer service to our travelers. You inspire your head conductors with enthusiasm and a customer-oriented approach, while also providing feedback on their attitudes and behaviors. Thanks to your focus on people and results, you are invaluable in:

• Daily management of about 20 head conductors.
• Conducting discussions with head conductors about their performance and optimizing their deployability.
• Providing professional guidance on the train.
• Driving employee engagement, customer focus, processes, and results.
• Providing professional support and follow-up in emergencies for head conductors, including a course on 'support and follow-up' in advance.

Where You Will Work

The NS operation is the face of NS. Together with your colleagues at NS, you ensure that over 1 million people reach their destination every day. Your base is Eindhoven, and due to standby duty, you must live there or within a maximum of 45 minutes' travel time. You will be part of an enthusiastic and motivated team that works together to achieve the best results.

*Standby duty: 24/7 availability duty where you are the first point of contact in emergencies, approximately 30 to 40 days per year.

Job Requirements

• You have a Bachelor's degree in thinking and working and at least completed a level 4 vocational training.
• You live within a 45-minute travel distance from Eindhoven station. This is a strict requirement due to standby duty.
• Leadership experience is essential. You have experience in guiding and managing people in their attitudes and behaviors.
• An inquiring and open attitude that allows you to initiate improvements. At the same time, you are assertive and have a critical eye.
• You motivate people and processes, giving head conductors ownership to solve problems on their own.
• You focus on collaboration, involving your colleagues in decisions and activities for the benefit of the depot.
• You tailor your style and arguments to each individual to create consensus within your team.
• With your excellent command of the Dutch language, you communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
