About the position

We are now seeking an experienced and dynamic CEO to lead a niche market related software development and support company in the Netherlands, with industrial clients in more than 40 countries worldwide. The mid-size organization is considered the largest software company for the specific niche market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing and scaling technology-driven businesses, with a strong emphasis on developing innovative software solutions and delivering exceptional customer support. The CEO will be responsible for setting strategic goals, driving growth, and ensuring operational excellence, while maintaining an inclusive culture of collaboration and innovation.

ABS is looking for a leader that has qualities within:

Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the company's strategic plan while aligning with the short-term and long-term objectives. Foster innovation to keep the company ahead in a competitive niche market.

Operations Management: Oversee the company's operational processes, and ensure they are streamlined and efficient. Ensure product development projects and support services meet high standards and client expectations.

Financial Acumen: Together with the CFO, manage the organization's financial goals, including budgeting, investments, and resource allocation to ensure the company's financial health and sustainability.

People Management: Lead and inspire a team of senior executives and staff while fostering a transparent and inclusive corporate culture. Enhance employee engagement and professional development opportunities.

Client Relations: Maintain and expand international customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. Act as a primary spokesperson for the company with clients, stakeholders, and the broader public.

Innovation and Technology Leadership: Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry trends to guide the technological strategy of the company. Ensure the company continues to innovate and provide cutting-edge solutions.

Education: You have a bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or similar advanced degree is highly preferred.

Experience and understanding: We think that you have a minimum of 10 years in a senior management role within the technology industry, ideally in software development and support services in a B-to-B organization. You are used to leading organizations and transformations and have experience in building a scalable product organization. You have a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and customer support operations. Given our industry, it is important that you have a good technical understanding and/or interest in the area to be able to quickly understand our customers' needs and how to translate those into profitable business. We also invite candidates with specific management experience within the laundry industry.

Language: Besides Dutch, English is mandatory, and other languages are meritorious.

Location and travel: ABS has customers globally so international travel will be required, both to manage executive customer relationships and also to manage the organization across 10 countries. Boxtel, Netherlands, is the head quarter office. Presence there will be required.
