Background information
We are SICS (Software Infrastructure and Computer Systems), the department that provides the software and hardware platform for our lithography systems – the heart of ASML. The TWINSCAN system can be configured in various ways. Several facilities provided by Computer Systems need data about the configuration of a system to properly function. The Hardware Software Interface (HSI for short) is a description of the hardware (HW) used to configure the software.
Your assignment
With this internship, we would like to create a prototype of the tooling (HDET – HSI Data Entry Tool) that can read, parse , write, import and export the corresponding hardware related data (such as IP address, DHCP options) to the desired location. The HSI entry tool is proposed to enable the non-HSI domain expert to update the HSI content.
The prototype should meet the following requirements:
The prototype should be implemented as a web service application (Front-end, backend and database). The application shall provide a simplified visualization of a system configuration, by abstracting all the software specific syntax spread in tens of intercorrelated files. The application shall have backend allowing to import and parse the hardware related data from different formats (e.g. excel files, xml and database). The application shall be user-friendly to support people in updating / adding the HSI data.Your Profile
To be a perfect match for this internship, you:
Are a bachelor or master student in Information Technology, Computer Science or another related technical study. Have full stack experience (front end and backend knowledge) and knowledge of Python. Are familiar with REST API, Linux and Single Page Application (SPA) frameworks. React/Angular is a nice to have. Are familiar with Relational Databases. Knowledge of PostgreSQL is a nice to have. Are eager to learn, structured, independent with a pro-active attitude. Have good communication skills and are fluent in English both verbally and in writing.This is a bachelor or master internship with a duration of a minimum of 6 months, for 5 days a week, starting as soon as possible.
