Senior Corporate FP&A Controller at Amsterdam

The Role

In this position, you will be part of a dynamic and fast-paced team reporting to the Director of Corporate FP&A. You will work with a highly motivated team that collaborates closely with stakeholders and business partners to drive key decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning and Analysis:
  • Lead the FP&A forecast process
  • Consolidate forecasts from all BUs, challenge submissions, and support the director in storytelling
  • Prepare comprehensive financial models and forecasts incorporating historical data and business drivers
  • Analyze variances between actual results and forecasts, identifying key performance indicators and factors influencing financial performance
  • Provide timely financial insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Management Reporting:
  • Generate financial reports and dashboards for senior management and department heads, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas of concern
  • Develop standardized reporting packages to enhance visibility into financial performance
  • Business Partnering:
  • Collaborate with FP&A teams to consolidate forecasts and report actuals
  • Work closely with Accounting for smooth month-end processes and forecast inputs
  • Offer ad hoc analysis to the VP of FP&A as a trusted team member
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and improve the efficiency of financial planning and analysis activities

Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis or related roles
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial modeling techniques
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze financial statements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets and financial planning software; experience with ERP systems is a plus
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy, integrity, and compliance
  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
  • Ability to advise and influence senior business partners
  • Strong team-working skills and ability to work independently
  • Comfortable in cross-functional teams and unstructured environments
  • Self-driven mentality with a focus on problem-solving and providing valuable analytics
