Functieomschrijving

As Subcontracts Administration Manageryou are responsible for administering construction contracts at jobsite, located in Terneuzen (The Netherlands).

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Project Manager (at job site)and to the Manager of Subcontracts (located in Italy), he will bein charge to manage the Construction Contracts in the frame of theconstruction of a new Plant.
  • Issue the Subcontracting Administration procedure based on thestandard template and processes of the Subcontractingoffice.
  • At the start of eachwork arrange meetings to instruct each Subcontractor on theprocedures of administration (preparation of accounting, evaluationof extra works, interim and final payment certificates,etc.).
  • Review in detail andapprove the Contractor's interim payment certificates in accordancewith the Project Construction Contracts Administration Procedure,get Construction Manager signature for confirmation of workexecuted and issue to subcontractors the authorizations forinvoicing.
  • Set the rules forthe review, in particular for the "unit prices contracts", theaccounting submitted by Contractors checking in detail quantities,correct application of unit prices (to be in accordance with thecontract price list, and contract requirements), correctness of allcalculations (arithmetic's).
  • Assure that extra works, claims, back charges, penalties and closeout of the contract are performed / processed in accordance withthe Project Procedure.
  • Ensurethat the final payment certificate contains all the documentationrequested by the Subcontract AdministrationProcedure.
  • Verify and checkinvoices.
  • Prepare and issue,regularly, the "evaluation of the contract price summary" for eachcontract.
  • Prepare togetherwith the Construction Manager the claims preliminary assessment andassist up to claims final settlement.
  • Assist the Construction Manager in resolvingdisputes (if any) with contractors, about contractor's contractualobligations, and participate, as required to the site meetings withcontractors.
  • Check and ensurereceipt of all contract documents from HomeOffice.
  • Ensure receipt ofcopy of all drawings issued for construction to be kept, properlyfiled, for accounting records purposes.
  • Ensure that all contract and accountingdocuments are properly filed and in auditableconditions.
  • Prepare andtransmit to the Client the draft of contract amendments due toextra works, back charges, claims.
  • Review the Performance Evaluation of allcontractors prepared by the Subcontract Administrator(s), andensure transmission to the Home Office Coordinator of SubcontractAdministration.
  • Assureperformance of Construction Contracts Administration activities inaccordance with the Project Execution Plan and issue, whenappropriate, Quality Forms in accordance with the QualityManagement System instructions Skills /Qualifications.
Functie-eisen

  • You have obtained a graduated Civil /Mechanical / Electrical engineer with minimum 10 years' experiencein Subcontracts and Subcontracts Administration at site forChemical and Oil & Gas industries.
  • Fully proficient in accounting managementnecessary for verify the calculated quantity.
  • Fluent in English (Dutch is aplus).
  • Fully proficient inOffice suite.
  • Excellentcommunication skills / leadership.
  • Availability to move at job –site.
  • Eligible to work inEuropean Union.
