In a nutshell

Join us as a Lead in our network team and shape the way we run and build a scalable and reliable network here at Picnic In this role, you will effectively manage the team, allocate projects, support team growth, and set the direction and vision for our initiatives. Our Network Team plays a fundamental role in accelerating our European expansion while maintaining a high-quality network ecosystem that spans from the fulfilment center and office wifi, over the Picnic WAN and into the public cloud.

What you'll do
  • You'll promote teamwork and improve collaboration between teams.
  • You'll build and evaluate team members through regular development conversations, personalized coaching, and mentorship to foster growth and achieve career goals.
  • You'll set the strategic direction for projects to align with company goals
  • You'll handle escalations and effectively communicate with stakeholders
  • You'll collaborate with a technically strong team, using your expertise to plan, strategize, and alleviate the administrative workload.
  • You'll manage third-party collaborations/partnerships and provide regular status updates
  • You'll create and manage detailed project plans with clear steps and milestones

About you
  • Masters degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or relevant work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a product-led organization (ideally as lead or project manager) with a relevant network background in a product or platform organization
  • A passion for building scalable network products, and a high level of curiosity to learn more
  • Good understanding of network architecture
  • Understanding of the TCP/IP Stack and protocols or services (e.g. BGP, OSPF, L3/L2 VPN, IPSEC, Wifi)
  • Experience with public cloud networking and working with 3rd party network connectivity providers.
  • Understanding of software development processes
