Background information
ASML YieldStar is an optical metrology tool for quickly and accurately measuring wafer pattern quality. The Frame Grabber Test Tool is used to test and select new camera types.
The Yieldstar Optical Column team develops the software required to create and calibrate the 'sensor' for the optical column, which includes optics, electronics, and cameras. This intricate process involves multiple teams working closely together to deliver top-notch metrology results.
As an intern, you'll be part of a multi-competency team in a Scaled Agile environment within an Agile Release Train.
You'll be involved in agile rituals to gain insight into our R&D working methods.

Your Assignment
This internship builds on a previous one and includes tasks such as:
  • Creating Unit tests
  • Refactoring and improving the software
  • Developing documentation
  • Establishing and testing the user manual
  • Merging the current branch into our Qualified Base Line
  • Implementing synchronization mechanisms (e.g., to a PLC)
Maturing and productizing the Frame Grabber Test Tool offers valuable experience in delivering high-quality tools for our production environment.
This internship presents technical and organizational challenges, providing a comprehensive understanding of the creation process of YieldStar products and the associated R&D structure.

Your Profile
To be a strong fit for this internship, you should:
  • Be a Computer Science or related field bachelor student
  • Have some level of familiarity with C# and Object Orientation
  • Be a team player with a structured mindset and a can-do attitude
  • Possess fluent English communication skills
Additional requirements:
  • Available full-time for at least 6 months starting in September 2024
  • Enrolled in a school throughout the internship
  • Must be located in the Netherlands for the internship duration. If currently outside the Netherlands, indicate willingness to relocate in your CV/motivation letter.
