ROADIE - STOREKEEPER AT JAZ IN THE CITY, AMSTERDAM

GENERAL OVERVIEW

As the Storekeeper (also known as The Roadie), you play a crucial role in supporting operational departments and the financial team. Your main responsibility is to ensure a smooth flow of operations by providing necessary supplies and materials.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage internal order requests and liaise with hotel suppliers for timely deliveries.
  • Oversee inventory and stock levels, ensuring availability of fresh produce.
  • Inspect incoming goods for quality and follow up with suppliers if needed.
  • Organize storage rooms and maintain cleanliness per safety standards.
  • Negotiate terms with suppliers and handle price negotiations.
  • Keep track of trends in the industry and implement relevant changes.
  • Perform regular stock counts and ensure accurate cost monitoring.
  • Communicate effectively with department heads regarding deliveries and stock status.
  • Maintain kitchen and storage room cleanliness as per HACCP standards.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and organizational tasks.
  • Interest in the hotel or food and beverage industry.
  • Resident of the Netherlands.
